Northampton Saints vs Newcastle Falcons

Hutchinson puts the resulting penalty into the corner for a lineout there. 

Saints go down to 14 as Graham leaves the field while we set the scrum. 

Hutchinson sets Augustus free off the scrum and the No. 8 makes it all the way up to Falcons' 22 before he's taken down. There's a knock on from Falcons in the tackle just after and Saints will have the scrum. 

Falcons knock the restart on and Saints will have the scrum. 

Saints think they've scored through Augustus but we're the TMO to check it.

Munga is up for the lineout and Saints have a penalty at the maul coming too as they push forwards into Falcons' half. The advantage is over for Saints work into Falcons' 22. 

Saints come forwards off the scrum through J Matavesi and Haffar. Braley's chip over the top finds Falcons hands and they clear to touch. Lineout Saints back inside their own half. 

R Smith replaces S Matavesi as we set the scrum. 

Falcons come forwards through Radwan and Carreras but there's a forward pass as they break into Saints' 22. Scrum Saints there. 

Penalty Saints at the breakdown though as Falcons knock the ball on and are found offside. Hutchinson sends the ball into touch for a Falcons lineout on halfway.

Braley replaces Odendaal as we set the lineout. 

Newcastle clear off the lineout but Saints are penalised for holding on on halfway and Johnson sends the ball into touch for a lineout inside Saints' 22. 

J Matavesi clears long off the scrum and Falcons have the lineout just outside the Falcons 22. 

J Matavesi replaces Hamer-Webb as we set the scrum. 

Savala's conversion comes off the right post but Saints will have the put in at the scrum as we pause the game just after the restart while a Van Vuuren is seen to by the medics. 

Millar Mills and Scott-Young replace Davison and Lawes as we set the lineout. 

Augustus comes off the base of the scrum and finds Odendaal with him. James sends the high ball up off the next phase and Obatoyinbo is there. But Saints turn the ball over there and whip it wide. Falcons are offside in the midfield and when there's a knock on out wide we come back for it. Hutchinson puts the ball into touch for a lineout just outside Falcons' 22. 

Augustus replaces Ludlam as we set the scrum. 

Falcon make it back into Saints' 22 but they knock the ball on there and Saints will have the scrum. 

Free kick Falcons as Saints push early at the scrum and the away side take it quickly. But Saints' defence works hard and they hold the ball up over the tryline. Goal line drop out to Saints to restart. 

Falcons try to play but the ball makes contact with the referee and we restart with a scrum for Newcastle. 

Falcons think they've scored through Radwan but the TMO says no try. Newcastle had a penalty coming in the build up as Saints were found offside though and Falcons take the penalty quickly. 

Haffar replaces Waller as we set the lineout.

Saints are penalised at the lineout for jumping across the gap and Johnson puts the ball into touch for a lineout in Saints' 22. 

Hamer-Webb clears to touch off the restart and Falcons have the lineout on halfway. 

Big shove at the scrum from Saints but Falcons manage to get the ball away. Litchfield gets over the ball at the next breakdown though to earn Saints the penalty. Hutchinson puts the ball into touch for a lineout on halfway. 

Saints whip the ball out into the midfield but there's a knock on there and Falcons have the scrum. 

Saints overthrow the lineout to Odendaal come forwards. James chips over the top and Falcons get there first. Obatoyinbo clears downfield and finds touch for a Saints lineout. 

James clears from the lineout and Falcons return it. The sides exchange kicks and eventually it's Falcons who find touch. Lineout Saints on halfway. 

Mayavanua takes the lineout and Saints maul forwards before James whips the ball out. Saints come forwards but the ball goes loose and Falcons boot it clear. Lineout Saints back inside their own half now.

Overthrow from Falcons at the lineout and Matavesi gathers it. Saints push up into Falcons' half and earn a penalty there as Falcons take a man out off the ball. Hutchinson puts the ball into the corner for a Saints lineout this time. 

Saints defend hard and Falcons are forced to chip over the top. Hutchinson is back there to gather and he finds touch well. Lineout Falcons back on halfway. 

Lawes steals the lineout and Saints come forwards at pace, with Odendaal putting Litchfield through a gap. But the centre is penalised for holding on at the breakdown just after and Johnson puts the ball into touch for a Falcons lineout back inside Saints' half. 

James clears the restart well and Falcons have a lineout back on halfway. 

Johnson gets things restarted here at cinch Stadium at Franklin's Gardens. 

Munga is up for the lineout and James sends the high ball up. Falcons get there first but Matavesi intercepts a stray Falcons pass, the hooker can't quite keep hold of it though and Falcons have the scrum on halfway with the final play of the half. 

Newcastle push into Saints' 22 but Saints' defence holds firm and eventually Graham gets over the ball to earn Saints the penalty. Hutchinson sends the ball into touch for a lineout back near halfway. 

No conversion from Savala out wide and though Falcons get the ball back, Sleightholme strips the ball in a tackle and James clears to touch. Lineout Falcons.

Huge shove from Saints at the scrum and they earn the penalty. Hutchinson puts it into the corner for a lineout there. 

O'Sullivan sends the high ball up on the restart and Graham is under it. Saints play on and Sleightholme breaks through Falcons' line but a brilliant tap tackle from Hutchison halts his progress and his offload to James goes forwards as a result. Scrum Falcons. 

Penalty advantage coming for Falcons as Saints fail to roll away and when we come back for it Johnson points to the posts. 

James sends the box kick up off the lineout and Falcons gather, with Johnson finding touch with a 50-22 kick. Lineout Falcons inside Saints' 22.

James sends the box kick high off the restart and Saints pressure well in defence. But Falcons find touch with a box kick and Saints have the lineout back on their 22.

Saints are awarded a penalty for a high tackle as they push off the lineout and the tap and go quickly, pushing from close range.

Falcons lose control of the restart and Saints scoop up the loose ball. They push in Falcons' 22 now.

Saints gather but Falcons intercept the ball as it comes out to the midfield and the away side make it up to Saints' 22 before they're taken down. Saints get over the ball there but are penalised for going off their feet at the ruck and Johnson points to the posts with the resulting penalty. 

Saints whip the ball wide off the scrum and Hutchinson hacks through for Sleightholme but the ball beats the winger over the dead ball line. 22 drop out for Falcons to restart. 

Knock on Falcons in contact and Saints play on with the ball. Savala hacks through and though Falcons get to the ball first, they knock it on there. Scrum Saints. 

Ludlam is up for the lineout and Sleightholme gets play into Falcons' 22. But there the home side are penalised for holding on and Johnson clears to touch. Lineout Falcons back near halfway.
