It was another good month for the team as a whole, who picked up an away win at London Irish before securing comprehensive bonus point Gardens wins over Sale and Ospreys.
That said, the nominated trio impressed above all and have earned their spots thanks to some excellent individual performances, not to mention consistency.
A man who embodies that consistency is Clark. Appearing in all four games during the month, the back row forward racked up 25 tackles (at 93%) and 21 carries, not to mention 17 lineout takes in a smooth functioning set-piece.
He also snared five turnovers in two Champions Cup games for an all-round contribution England found impossible to ignore.
Lawes meanwhile is now a senior member of Stuart Lancaster’s EPS and continues to post impressive numbers from the second row.
Like Clark, he amassed a huge number of carries (22) and tackles (24 at 96%) for the month and matched his fellow forward’s tally of 17 lineout takes.
The final man finds himself on the shortlist for the second time at the stat of the season after a continuation of his blistering form.
In four appearances for the month, Ken Pisi played a hand in four tries, scoring one and assisting three more, largely thanks to the 162 metres he made with ball in hand.
The Samoan’s 31 carries also took him past a staggering 14 defenders, while in defence 13 tackles (at 93%) fully indicate his immense work rate and complete game.
