Eight Saints players were involved in international matches this weekend as England, England Saxons, Wales, Fiji and England Under-20s were all in action.

Campus Ma'afu was the first player to take to the field, as he helped Fiji come from behind to beat Tonga by 23-18 in Suva on Saturday morning.

This match was followed by Wales taking on New Zealand, with Saints wing George North putting in an impressive performance as a second half surge gave the World Champions a 29-21 victory in the first of three Tests between Wales and the All Blacks.

England were next up, with Dylan Hartley, Luther Burrell, Courtney Lawes and Paul Hill all playing a part as England secured an historic first win in Brisbane with a 39-28 win over Australia in the first of three Tests against the Wallabies.

The last Saints player to experience international action this weekend was Harry Mallinder as he scored 12 boots with the boot as England secured a 44-0 win over Scotland in their second of three pool matches at the World Rugby Under-20 World Championship.

The summer internationals continue this week, starting with the England Under-20s who take on Australia on Wednesday night at the AJ Bell Stadium.

The Saxons then play their second of two matches against South Africa 'A' on Friday night in George, before Fiji host Samoa in Suva on Saturday morning.

Wales then play the All Blacks in Wellington in the second of three Tests against the World Champions before England take on the Wallabies in Melbourne on Saturday morning.
