Northampton Saints would like to express its deepest condolences to the family of former Club President, Ron Slinn, who passed away recently.
“Ron was a wonderful friend of the Club’s for more than 70 years and I cannot think of anyone who symbolised what it meant to be a ‘Saintsman’ more than him,” said John White, Chairman of Northampton Saints.
“Although he served Saints in many different capacities, I believe his time as the Club’s President is where he will be most remembered. Not only did provide brilliant leadership and direction, he did so as an approachable, selfless and hard-working man who always tried to make a difference to the lives of the people around him.
“His passion for the Club was obvious and he would always put its interests above his; for this we owe him a great debt of gratitude.
“Franklin’s Gardens will not be the same without him and we thank him for all he did for the Club.
“Our thoughts are with Ron’s family and friends at this time.”
