The top two Under-13 teams from regional legs in Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Suffolk assembled at the home of the Saints on Thursday afternoon, NSB quickly stamping their authority on the competition with a resounding 35-0 win over Swavesey Village College.

The former school of Courtney Lawes and Paul Diggin would power their way into the Cup final undefeated - likewise The Perse School, who were winners of the Cambridgeshire leg in March.

St. Joseph's College and Colchester RGS were both edged out in the semi-finals.

True to form on the day it was a tight and tense final with each side scoring twice, though NSB would be celebrating come the final whistle having landed both conversions to the Perse's one.

Meanwhile, Woodbridge School defeated Swavesey Village College and Harrold Priory in the last four and final respectively to wrap up the Plate competition. Robert Bloomfield were the fourth semi-finalists in that section of Finals Day.

The Elite Insurance 7s Series is a tournament launched by the Saints for Under-13 sides across the East of England to mark the countdown to Rugby World Cup Sevens 2013 and the start of the build-up to Rugby Sevens' introduction to the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Throughout the competition, schools received coaching and mentoring from members of the Saints community coaching team, thanks to funding from the club's Elite Sponsor Elite Insurance.
