Saints duo in Samoa twenty-three

Saints duo, Ken Pisi and Ahsee Tuala, have been selected in the 23-man squad to face Canada tomorrow night.

The pair of backs will head to Grenoble as the Pacific Island takes on Canada, Pisi starting the game on the right wing while Tuala begins the game on the bench.

Samoa head coach, Namulauulu Alama Ieremia, said while his side has had to include a number of changes due to injuries picked up against Georgia, he is confident that his players can perform.

“A number of changes have been made to our playing 23,” he commented.

“However, I believe in these players to do the job. Canada is a team we have a lot of respect for. Our latest encounters have always been close and we know they have been targeting us for some time now.

“It is a must win game, for our people, our fans and most importantly ourselves. No one feels the losses more than the players, our changing room last weekend was evidence of that.

“Canada will come out firing and they will be methodical in their approach. We just have to control our game plan, execute and back each other under pressure.

“We have taken on the lessons from last week and the players are excited about the challenge.”
