Semi-final spot for Mitchell and England U20

England U20s battled all the way to the end of their final pool stage match of this year's World Rugby U20 Championship against Australia last night to secure a spot in the semi-finals of the competition.

Alex Mitchell, who has scored in both of England's previous pool fixtures and came off the bench in last night's dramatic win, booted the ball off the pitch when the time was up to see England through to the semi-finals with a last-minute 20-19 win.

Though six points down at the break, England fought back from the restart and second half tries from Gabriel Ibitoye and Marcus Street, coupled with a pressurised penalty at the death from Max Malins gave them the lead and ultimately the win.

Next up for England in the semi-finals is South Africa on Tuesday, June 13th. That game, as the others have been, will be streamed live through World Rugby's channels and highlights of the two semi-finals will appear on ITV 4 later on Tuesday evening.
