The prop received the shortlisting after supporting a wide range of community and charity projects on both sides of the globe during his testimonial year, including inspiring the Northampton public to donate enough equipment to fill a 40ft container to send to Vaini Primary School in Tonga.
Tonga'uiha's donation to Kislingbury Primary School also saved the job of the local lollypop lady for two years, and he supported several other local charities, including Cynthia Spencer Hospice, Helping Milly and Niamh's Next Step.
Tonga'uiha will find out whether he has won the Award at the Premiership Rugby Awards Dinner on Thursday, May 9th. He is shortlisted alongside Myles Dorrian (Exeter Chiefs), Tinus du Plessis (London Wasps), Jamie George (Saracens) and Shaun Perry (Worcester Warriors).
The Awards Dinner will also see the announcement of the talkSPORT Dream Team, which this year is being voted for by you, the supporters. To find out how you can vote just CLICK HERE
