Over the past few years Train Like A Saint has helped the people of Northampton reach their fitness goals. And the innovative programme is back for a new season this October!
Based in the gym at Franklin's Gardens, Train Like A Saint (TLAS) gives members of the general public an insight into how the club's professional players get put through by the Saints' performance team.
You will experience a broad range of training methods, using a variety of equipment including free weights, Watt Bikes, battle ropes, and even sledgehammers! Although TLAS is designed for all levels of fitness and experience, and sessions are adapted and modified to cater for a diverse range of abilities, it is nevertheless beneficial to have a base of conditioning.
The minimum age for TLAS participants is 16, with 16-to-18-year-olds needing to be accompanied by a parent/guardian. There is no upper age limit, providing you are fit and well! Participants need to complete a Pre-Exercise Active Questionnaire, which can be downloaded by CLICKING HERE. This is to asses your readiness to participate in the sessions as well as for your own safety and progression through the programme.
TLAS will run every Wednesday from October 21st, with sessions lasting between 60 and 90 minutes and costing £25 per person. Supervised one-on-one training sessions and nutritional advice are also available from the club's performance staff.
