The full back has been chosen in a 31-man squad for the competition, which will play an important part in the build-up towards Rugby World Cup 2015 for its participating countries – Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, Japan, Canada and the USA.

Samoa open their Pacific Nations Cup campaign against the USA in San Jose on Saturday, July 18th. This will be followed by an Islands clash against Fiji in Sacramento on Friday, July 24th, with the pool stages closing against Canada in Toronto on Wednesday, July 29th.

All six participating countries will also take part in finals day on Monday, August 3rd, in Burnaby, British Columbia, when they will play against the team which finishes in the same position in the other pool (i.e. first plays first, second plays second, third plays third).

The other three Samoan Saints – Kahn Fotuali’i, Ken Pisi and George Pisi – have all been given the tournament off as coach Stephen Betham uses it as an opportunity to allow other players to stake a claim for Rugby World Cup selection.
