The Wanderers will host Saracens in the 2017 Aviva ‘A’ League semi-finals.

Monday night’s bonus point win over Sale Jets confirmed the Wanderers’ place in the Aviva ‘A’ League knockout stages for a second successive season. Two tries each from Tom Kessell and Juan Pablo Estelles, with a further score by Christian Day, secured a 32-3 win over the Jets and top spot in the Northern Conference in the process.

The Wanderers will host Saracens at Franklin’s Gardens at 7:30pm on Monday, April 24th. Entry will be FREE for all Saints Season Ticket Holders, with all other supporters paying £5 (adults) or £2 (juniors) on the gate.

In the other semi-final Gloucester United – who finished top of the Southern Conference – will host Wasps, whose away win at Newcastle saw them leapfrog Leicester into second place behind the Wanderers.

The two semi-final winners will then go head-to-head in the final on Monday, May 1st.

In the Aviva ‘A’ League semi-finals and final a club may only play or select as a replacement players who have represented the club in the pool stages. Additional players not included on the Match Result Cards may only play with the written agreement of the opposition and Premiership Rugby.

Saints are now tied on 47 Aviva Premiership league points with Harlequins in the chase for next season’s Champions Cup, and Bath and Leicester are just five points ahead in the battle for the top four. This makes this weekend’s game against Saracens all-the-more important, and every voice will count at Stadium MK.
