Loughborough Lightning’s Bulou Mataitoga will start for the USA against Wales on Saturday (30 September, kick-off 2:30pm).
Mataitoga has been selected to start at full-back for the Eagles in an international encounter taking place at Stadiwm CSM in Colwyn Bay.
The 29-year-old, who made her 15s senior international debut against England in 2019, will earn her 11th cap in what is interim head coach Milton Haig’s first test match in charge.
He said: “This is an official test against Wales, who are ranked above us in the World rankings, and it’s an opportunity to implement everything we have been training in the last two weeks with physical intent and accuracy of skills.
“Wales are a very good side, and we know we will be put under pressure by them, but we’ve shown excellent improvement in all aspects of our game this training week. Our aim is to make a very good account of ourselves.”
