Charities Day returns to Franklin's Gardens

Charities Day is back at Franklin's Gardens this weekend as Saints take on Bath Rugby (kick-off 2.45pm).

Now an annual event, this Saturday's bucket shake will benefit not just one worthwhile cause but a whopping 15 different charities, as the Club invites local and national organisations to Franklin's Gardens.

And with each charity given a bucket shake position around the ground, plus their logo on the sleeve of one of Saturday's starting line-up, you can find more information about all the visiting charities below.

Keep an eye out for them all around the ground and please give generously!

ASTHMA UK
We work to stop asthma attacks and, ultimately, cure asthma by funding world-leading research and scientists, campaigning for change and supporting people with asthma to reduce their risk of a potentially life-threatening asthma attack.

You can either use our fundraising page here where the money will go directly towards our fundraising target.

PROSTATE CANCER UK
Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer. As the number of men diagnosed with prostate cancer continues to rise (making it the most common of all cancers by 2030), now is the time to take control.

Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

MAKE A WISH
Make-A-Wish Foundation grant life-changing wishes for children living with critical illnesses in the UK.

We've seen the effects a wish can have on a seriously ill child: from creating incredible memories, building confidence and bringing happiness, to providing respite from the daily struggles that come with a critical illness. We know what wishes can give, and this is the driving force behind why we continue to do what we do.

But we can't make these life-changing experiences happen without the generosity of people like you.

THE LEWIS FOUNDATION
The Lewis Foundation on a weekly basis provides free gift packs to adults receiving treatment for cancer in hospital.  All adults receive a gift for free with no donation expected in return and it is not means tested.

The patients can pick from a gift list a choice of gift they would like ranging from books, pocket radios and puzzle books. The aim is to take people's minds off thinking about the treatment they are going through and use this as an ice breaker to get to speak to people and provide support.
