It was a first weekend off for the Saints in 18 months having played every round of every competition in 2013/14, but with at six tough fixtures remaining in the regular season the flanker says they've had to draw the positives from the situation.
“We’re disappointed of course not to be involved in all competitions at this stage of the season,” he told SaintsTV. “But you’ve got to take your chance to recuperate when you can.
“The biggest disappointment for us was passing up the chance at a home final, which you rarely get, but it’s a big run in now so hopefully we’ll be ready for it.
“We want to keep pushing on and getting the best out of the squad we’ve got and that kicks off on Friday night against Wasps.
