Returning to the Gardens over the summer, Phil Dowson said that player development is a huge focus in his new role of assistant coach.
The former Saint said that while the switch from player to coach has been a learning curve, he's enjoying the challenge.
"It's great to be back," Dowson told SaintsTV earlier this week, "I've got lots of fond memories from Northampton, lots of success here, so it's wonderful to be back.
"Being a coach has been a big learning experience, a big learning curve, but I'm enjoying it.
"It's great to still be amongst rugby even though I've retired, great to be amongst a great group of men.
"I'm just trying to push the guys so we can be as successful as possible."
