Northampton Saints can today confirm that prop Campese Ma’afu will be leaving Franklin’s Gardens at the end of this season.

The 33-year-old has made 35 appearances in the Black, Green and Gold jersey having joined from French side Provence in 2016.

Fiji international Ma’afu followed in his brother Salesi’s footsteps to join the Club and made his Saints debut against Harlequins three seasons ago.

He notched up his 50th cap for Fiji during his time at Franklin’s Gardens, and as well as starring for the first team this term, was involved in the Wanderers’ Premiership Rugby A League triumph last season – defeating Gloucester United in the final to claim the title.

“To be able to run out in front of the crowd at Franklin’s Gardens has been a great experience, and I’m proud to have played for a great Club in Saints,” said Ma’afu.

“I want to thank the supporters here in Northampton for always getting behind me, and I wish the rest of the squad and the coaches the very best for the future.”
