Northampton Saints’ Supporter Engagement Group convened for a second time on Tuesday evening for a meeting at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens.
Chaired by the Club’s Director of Marketing and Communications, Tim Percival, the discussion focused on matchday entertainment and supporter open days ahead of the start of the 2022/23 season.
The Supporter Engagement Group – currently made up by Kirstie Blencowe, Richard Broughton, Tim Empson, Martin Fletcher, Duncan Geddes, Jess Kebbell, Charles McGillivray, Michael Njotsa, Julia Partridge, Gary Spratt, and Simon Stacey – was formed earlier this year as part of the Club’s commitment to strengthen dialogue with its supporters, and increase the feedback provided directly from fans.
Representatives from Saints now meet the SEG twice a year, to discuss ideas for how the Club can better engage with its followers and deliver a best-in-class experience at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens.
In addition to Percival, in attendance from Saints on Tuesday were Julia Chapman (Finance & Operations Director), Kristy Coates (Head of Operations), Laura Tringham (Head of Marketing & Ticketing), and Connor Fleming (Head of Community).
“We enjoyed a really positive session on Tuesday evening, with our conversation focussed on improving the matchday experience around the Gardens, and on Club open days,” said Percival.
“As expected, the group put forward some interesting ideas and there was some healthy debate at the meeting. The Club has committed to review the points made and act on them where appropriate.
“I’d like to thank every member of the SEG again for giving up their time to try to get the best for our supporters and for Northampton Saints. We look forward to reconvening again in November.”
