Bio
Toby Thame, son of former Saint John Thame, progressed through Northampton’s Academy ranks and signed his first professional contract ahead of the 2022/23 season.
Thame, formerly of Radley College, progressed from Northampton’s Under-13 DPP into the Under-18s side – and caught the eye as he featured heavily at fly-half and centre at that level as an Under-17.
The centre’s first appearance in Black, Green and Gold came in his fledgling season as he featured against London Irish in the Premiership Rugby Cup.
His first senior tries came the following campaign, registering a double against Cambridge in the Premiership Rugby Cup before backing that up with another score the following week against Bristol Bears.
The 2023/24 season saw Thame earn his Premiership debut away at Bath, and he made a couple more league appearances in 2024/25 but missed the majority of that campaign with an ACL injury.
Internationally, Thame has represented England at age-grade level, earning Under‑20 caps during the 2023 World Rugby Championship and Six Nations.
