Exeter Chiefs vs Northampton Saints

Sleightholme and Hutchinson charge forwards down the right and get close but the ball heads into touch off a Chiefs hand. Lineout Saints . 

Chiefs sends the box kick up and Saints play on on halfway now. 

Saints turn the ball over in their own 22 and the ball comes wide to Freeman quickly. It comes back the other way quickly and Sleightholme chips to himself to chase but the ball heads into touch before he can regather it. Lineout Chiefs in their own 22. 

Mayanavanua replaces Munga as we set the lineout. 

Coles charges Cairns' box kick down on the restart but he's deemed offside there and Slade puts the resulting penalty into touch. Lineout Chiefs back in Saints' half. 

Huge defence from Saints and they force the knock on from Chiefs. Saints play on with the ball before Mitchell sends the box kick up and finds touch. Lineout Chiefs back near halfway. 

Penalty coming for Chiefs at breakdown as Saints go off their feet and eventually we come back for it. Slade puts it into the corner.

Huge defensive effort from Saints off the scrum and the rewards comes for Saints as Chiefs go off their feet at the breakdown. Smith puts it into touch for a lineout back on halfway.

Freeman breaks on the restart but his offload to Coles goes forwards off the back row's hands. Scrum Chiefs.

Mitchell send the high ball up off the restart but it heads straight out and Chiefs have the lineout on Saints' 22. 

Changes for Saints as Millar Mills and Pearson enter play, with Davison and Scott-Young making way.

Mitchell sends the high ball up and chases hard. Chiefs get there first but Moon gets over the ball there and Saints have the penalty. Smith puts it into the corner.

But Saints send their kick straight out too off this lineout and Chiefs have the throw this time. 

Good pressure from Saints as they send the ball back Chiefs' way at the lineout. They earn another throw in for their efforts as Skinner's clearing kick heads straight out.

More kick tennis off the lineout and it's Chiefs who find touch again. Lineout Saints up near halfway. 

The sides exchange kicks on the restart and it's Chiefs who find touch first. Lineout Saints just outside their own 22.

Coles disrupts the lineout and Chiefs knock the ball one there. Scrum Saints. 

Chiefs hack through off the back of the scrum and Saints dive on it. Braley sends the high ball up and finds touch. Lineout Chiefs again.

Chiefs send the high ball up and Litchfield is there. He finds touch and Chiefs will have the lineout just outside Saints' 22. 

Chiefs play on halfway as Saints send the ball back their way on the restart. Good defence from Saints sees Hutchinson strip the ball but it goes forwards off his hands. Scrum Chiefs just inside Saints' half. 

Furbank breaks free on the restart and finds Scott-Young out wide. Saints are up to halfway now.

Saints push up to the five metre line but the ball goes forwards there. But we're with the TMO to check if there's foul play as Furbank is hit high in the build up. 

Penalty Saints as Chiefs are found offside and Saints tap and go quickly. 

Advantage coming for Saints as Chiefs fail to roll away and Smith puts it back into the corner for another lineout. 

Saints regather the restart this time and earn the penalty a few phases later as Chiefs come in at the side. Smith puts the ball into the corner.

Advantage coming for Chiefs at the scrum and eventually we come back for it. Skinner puts the penalty into the corner. 

Saints come forwards on the restart, with Smith sending the crossfield over to Sleightholme. But Hammersley gets there first. Chiefs put the high ball up again and Saints can't keep control of it as it comes down. Scrum Chiefs.

Chiefs come forwards off the scrum and Slade tries a crossfield kick but it finds touch and Saints have the lineout on their own 22. 

No conversion from Slade out wide and though Saints chase the restart to tap it back, the ball goes forwards there. Scrum Chiefs. 

Good maul defence from Saints and they hold Chiefs' push there to earn the put in at the scrum. 

Braley sends the box kick up from the lineout but Chiefs get there first and then earn the penalty too as Saints fail to roll away at the breakdown. Skinner puts it into the corner again.

More patient phases from Chiefs and they push into Saints' 22 again. There's an advantage coming for Exeter too as Saints are found offside. Chiefs push further and think they've scored through Vermeulen but we're with the TMO to check it.
