Harlequins vs Northampton Saints

Saint have a lineout, looking for a bonus point as the clock goes into the red.

Isiekwe gets up well to steal a lineout, but the clock is against Saints and as Naiyaravoro throws an ambitious pass, the ball goes loose.

Two penalties for Saints and they opt for the scrum again. Hutchinson tries to truck it up, but while Quins look offside they get over the ball and win a penalty.

Scrum penalty Saints and Hutchinson nails his kick to the 5m line. Do or die now for Northampton.

Saints controlling the maul but Quins somehow come around the corner and turn it over. Saints get the ball back, but have to come from their own half again.

Hill gets over the ball and wins a penalty! Saints kick down to inside the 22 and really need to make this one count here. Marshall hits his man and the visitors look to build.

Referee Maxwell-Keys penalises Saints again and Quins start to build some phases. Just as Quins look to have burst through the middle with Dombrandt, the referee calls it back for a forward pass. Ten minutes left here.

Gibson is penalised at the lineout for playing the man in the air, and Smith points to the posts for Quins to run down the clock. He misses but Saints are back on their own 22 for the drop out.

Saints make good ground from first phase again, with Mitchell offloading to Hutchinson, but stern Quins defence again earns them a penalty and the hosts are able to clear.

Crucial penalty won by Harrison at the breakdown after some good hands from Quins, who were looking dangerous again. Saints can clear to touch.

Saints unload the bench as Harrison, Naiyaravoro and Ribbans enter the field. Still a quarter of this game left for Northampton to try and claw their way back.

The kick goes dead and that's an opportunity missed for Saints.

Great work from Saints who have advantage and Grayson tries the crossfield kick. Olowofela gathers well and looks for Collins but the ball goes to ground with the tryline at his mercy. We'll come back for the penalty.

Smith's conversion attempt sails wide but Saints are now nine points behind.

Saints almost come unstuck as Hutchinson fumbles a Grayson pass inside the 22, but it goes backwards and Olowofela pounces on it before winning a penalty as Quins are over-zealous at the breakdown.

Mitchell is unlucky to get called up for a high tackle and Smith finds touch. Quins now looking to build some phases outside Saints' 22.

Grayson gets us back underway as he hoists the ball into the grey London skies. Can Saints produce more second-half magic at the Stoop after last week?

That's the break then and it's been a high-quality half of rugby from both sides here in London. Saints trail but have scored twice and will be encouraged heading into the sheds they can turn this one around in the second 40.

The post intervenes as Smith looks to add a conversion, meaning we're back within a point at the Stoop.

Mitchell does the hard work and catches under pressure, but then kicks out on the full, giving Quins an opening inside Northampton's half. We wait for a lineout to come.

Adendorff is pinged for not rolling away and Smith finds touch for Quins. Throw is wayward however and Saints will look to run a play from deep with the scrum.

Another penalty for Saints as Robshaw seals off, and Grayson puts it in the corner. Northampton looking to maul one over...

Quins earn themselves a scrum on halfway but the Saints pack have looked rock solid so far. Mitchell almost intercepts but is hit on the shoulder and we start again.

Gibson claims the ball and Mitchell clears long. Quins try to play out but Painter claims a loose pass and Saints now looking dangerous as Collins goes over the top and Adendorff makes a burst up the right! But the visitors are pinged at the breakdown again and Quins are let off.

Turnover at a breakdown from Quins and they kick to the corner. Haywood now faces a throw on his own 5m line.

Big hit from Olowofela on Ashton and the Quins wing drops the ball! Really important invention from the Saintsman after a couple of wayward Northampton kicks released the pressure.

Accidental offside straight from the restart and Saints awarded a penalty. Grayson looks to find the corner but misses and Quins take a drop-out.

Frenetic passage of play as Olowofela comes so close to intercepting and returning to score. The ball slips through his fingers and Quins have a scrum just inside Saints' half.

Good touchfinder from Furbank puts the pressure back on Quins. They are pegged back with a lineout on their 22, but the hosts gather and Care clears.

Gibson turns over a Quins lineout and Saints are back in possession. Grayson's pass is astray but Saints regather and kick to space.

Good defence from Saints sees Quins hit a brick wall before throwing a pass into touch. Good start to this game, with both sides looking sharp in possession. We have a short break as Adendorff receives some treatment.

Back come Saints and a slick backs move releases Olowofela in space! A kick over the top sees Danny Care call the mark and clear into touch.

The hosts look sharp with the first possession but a knock-on hands Saints the ball back. We'll go down for a scrum just in front of Northampton's 22.

It’s 15 changes for the second match running for Chris Boyd and Saints, with Lewis Ludlam leading out the side in London. There are just two changes in personnel however from the side that beat London Irish eight days ago – as Ehren Painter and Danny Hobbs-Awoyemi come into the front row. A special milestone beckons meanwhile for Taqele Naiyaravoro, who will make his 50th appearance in Black, Green and Gold if he comes off the bench.
