Newcastle Falcons vs Northampton Saints

But there's a knock on from Falcons as they get up to halfway and Smith finds touch with a 50-22. Lineout Saints in Falcons' 22 now.

Saints get up to the 22 and earn a penalty there as Falcons fail to roll away. Smith puts the ball into the corner. 

E Waller and Cruse join the game too, with A Waller and Matavesi making way.

Penalty Falcons at the breakdown and they take it quickly. Connon chips over the top and Saints play on on halfway. 

Hill replaces Prowse as we set the lineout.

Saints peel forwards again through Furbank before Mitchell snips closer. But there Falcons strip the ball and boot clear. Lineout Saints back near halfway. 

Smith can't add the extras from out wide and Falcons tap the restart back to themselves. Saints' defence pushes them back into their own half and when the ball comes wide, the away team push their hosts into touch. Lineout Saints on halfway. 

Saints are up to Falcons' five metre line quickly and pushing again.

Salakaia-Loto replaces Lawes as we set the lineout.

Advantage coming for Saints as Falcons are found offside from the restart and Smith puts it into the corner. 

Ludlam and Dingwall take their leave as we set the scrum, with Scott-Young and Litchfield taking their places.

Smith's conversion comes off the left upright but Falcons knock on on hallway and Saints will have the scrum there.

Smith breaks through on the restart and gets Saints going again. Collins almost does the same and Saints are up to halfway again now.

Penalty for Saints as Carreras comers into the ruck dangerously and Smith puts the ball into touch for a lineout in Falcons' 22. 

Saints push Falcons back with some strong defence and eventually the reward comes in a knock on from Falcons. Saints play on with the advantage.

Lawes steals the lineout and Mitchell clears long. Lineout Falcons back outside Saints' 22.

Eventually we come back for the penalty and Connon puts it into the corner.

Saints defend the maul but are pinged for playing the ball on the floor as it comes down. Connon puts the ball into touch for a lineout on Saints' 22.

Collins clears the restart and Falcons will have the lineout on halfway.

Ribbans steals the lineout and Saints peel forwards down the left through Hutchinson and Furbank before it comes back inside as Saints' reach the Falcons 22. 

Young sends the ball wide off the scrum and Falcons push forwards before Saints are pinged for not rolling away. Connon puts the ball into touch for a lineout in Saints' half. 

Saints come forward as Falcons send the ball back Saints' way. But there they knock the ball on in contact and Falcons have the scrum. 

Smith gets us restarted here at Kingston Park!

Furbank peels forwards with Ludlam on his shoulder and though Burbank's offload finds Connon's hands, Ludlam pushes the fly-half into touch. Lineout Saints on Falcons' 22 now.

Ludlam is up for the lineout and Saints maul forwards before the ball comes out to Augustus. He barges forwards into Falcons' half and Saints play on there.

Young sends the box kick up and Furbank returns it. Connon finds touch with his kick though and Saints have the lineout on halfway.

Strong at the scrum from Saints but Falcons manage to keep it. But strong defence from Saints forces the kick from Connon. Furbank is there and returns with interest. Falcons regather and play on on halfway again.

Connon chips over the top and Mitchell is there. He finds Freeman to clear but the winger's kick bobbles over the dead ball line. We come back for a Falcons scrum on halfway.

Falcons think they've scored through a solo Radwan effort but a huge try-saving tackle from Mitchell puts the winger in touch before he can ground the ball.

Saints come forwards off the scrum and are up to halfway quickly.  Matavesi barrels forwards and Augustus does the same. Saints play on on the Falcons' 22 now.

Falcons knock on the high ball and Saints gather. The boot it downfield and Obatoyinbo is there. Falcons have the advantage for a high tackle from Saints and we come back for it when Saints get over the ball at the ruck. Connon puts it into touch for a lineout in Saints' half. 

Carreras slips through and races forwards; he makes it to halfway before he chips over Saints' line but Furbank just manages to get to the ball first and dot down over the try line. Goal line drop Saints.

Smith and Augustus get play up to Falcons' 22 but the home side strip the ball there and play on themselves.

Lawes steal the lineout and Saints play on on the halfway line now.

Knock on from Falcons off the lineout and Saints boot the ball clear. It heads downfield before bouncing into touch. Lineout Falcons back inside their own half. 

Lawes gets overt the ball as Falcons come forwards but he's pinged for not releasing first and Connon puts the ball into the corner.

Falcon come forwards from the drop out and Moroni hacks through. The ball ricochets off Collins into touch and Falcon have the lineout.

Saints get the ball wide quickly from the scrum, with Collins racing forwards. Saints push but the ball comes loose in contact and Falcons boot clear. The ball bobbles all the way back over Saints' try line and Saints have the goal line drop out.

Saints return the ball to Falcons and hold them inside their own half with a strong defensive set. Young boxes high and Furbank is there to claim it, and though he's held up in a maul it's Saints who have the scrum to restart.

Young sends the ball high off the back of the lineout and Collins is there for it. He finds touch with a clearing kick and Falcons have another lineout. 

Mitchell puts the ball up and Obatoyinbo returns it. The sides exchange kicks and it's Furbank who finds touch first. Lineout Falcons within their own half.

Overthrow at the lineout from Saints and Falcon gather. They boot the ball back Saints' way and the away team play on.

The ball comes wide to Ludlam and the captain charges forwards to get Saints into Falcons' 22 now. 

No conversion from Connon from out wide and Young sends the ball high on the restart. Furbank rises highest to claim the ball and Saints play on again.

Aerial tennis ensures before Radwan runs it back at Saints. The home side push on halfway now.
