Northampton Saints vs Bristol Bears

Saints come forwards, with Hutchinson chipping over the top to Freeman. Randall get there and comes forwards. 

Less than a minute to go as we set the scrum and Saints earn the penalty there too. Biggar puts it into the corner. 

Saints turn the ball over on halfway too but Bristol regather and come wide. Saints work hard in defence though and push Bristol into touch. Lineout Saints.

Saints turn the ball over as Bristol come forwards again and James clears to touch for a Bristol lineout on halfway as Saints go back up to full strength with Augustus returns. 

Bristol work forwards into Saints' 22 but Saints turn the ball over and Hendy does well to get it away. Lineout Bristol back inside their own half. 

Saints disrupt Bristol's maul off the lineout but the away side manage to keep possession and push from within five metres. 

Hendy comes on to make his Premiership debut as we set the lineout, with Dingwall making way. 

Big shove from Saints again but it's kept in Bristol hands. Saints push them back into their own half with a strong period of defence. But Frisch breaks through and Bristol are awarded a penalty as he's taken down as Saints go off their feet. Eden puts it  into the corner. 

Carey enters play so we can have the scrum and Augustus makes way for him. 

Saints try to maul but Bristol hold them and Bristol will have the scrum. 

Saints get on the ball at the maul to earn the scrum but backchat from Bristol sees a penalty go Saints' way and Biggar puts it into touch for a lineout on halfway. 

Eden sends the resulting penalty to touch for a lineout on Saints' 22. 

Free kick Saints and Biggar sends it high. Bristol get under it and play on on halfway. 

A huge shove from Saints at the scrum but Bristol manage to get the ball away, they come wide but the ball goes forwards and Saints will have the scrum. 

Two changes for Saints on the restart: James replaces Mitchell, and Matavesi is replaced by Haywood as the replacement hooker makes his 250th appearance for Saints!

Wide from Biggar on the touchline conversion and Collins claims the restart. Saints play on.

Biggar sends the resulting lineout into the corner. 

The ball comes quickly wide to Collins and he hack through for Freeman to chase. Leiua hacks it to touch and Saints will have a lineout.

Eden clears off the back of the scrum and Saints will have the lineout on halfway. 

Saints knock the ball on off the back of the lineout though and Bristol will have the scrum. 

Penalty Saints just off the restart as Bristol dive on a player on floor and Biggar puts the ball into touch for a lineout back in Bristol's 22. 

Saints maul forwards from the lineout and push deeper into Bristol's 22. 

Augustus is up for the lineout and Saints maul forwards from it. They earn penalty there too as Bristol bring it down illegally and Biggar puts it into the corner for a Saints lineout there. 

Ribbans is replaced by Coles as we set the lineout. 

Mitchell clears the restart and Morahan is under it. Bristol try to come forwards but Lawes gets over the ball and strips it. Saints push forwards, Furbank hacking through into space. Piutau is back there and he finds touch with his own kick. Lineout Saints.

Moon steals the lineout and Saints play on, earning a penalty advantage in the midfield as Bristol fail to roll away. Eventually we come back for it and Biggar points to the posts. 

The ball comes wide left and Dingwall puts it onto his boot for Hutchinson to chase but the ball heads into touch. Lineout Bristol in their own 22 now. 

Saints knock on as they come forwards but Uren clears and Hutchinson is under it. Saints play on and are back up to Bristol's 22 quickly.

Ludlam is up for the lineout and Dingwall crashes up the middle and Saints push up to Bristol's 22 now. 

Augustus finds Dingwall off the scrum and Saints get the penalty too as Bristol are found offside. Biggar puts the ball into touch for a lineout back in Bristol's half.

Not straight at the lineout from Bristol and Saints will have the scrum. 

Saints come forwards off the lineout but they're pinged at the breakdown and Sheedy puts it into touch. Lineout Bristol in Saints' half. 

HIA for Furbank as we set the lineout, with Proctor taking his place. 

Bristol manage to turn the ball over and Sheedy clears. Furbank is back there and he sends it high. Bristol regather and Joyce comes forwards into Saints' 22 but Lawes gets over the ball to earn Saints the penalty. Biggar puts it into touch for a lineout in Bristol's half. 

Overthrow at the lineout from Bristol and Waller is on it. He charges into Bristol's 22 and Saints play on there. 

Bristol turn the ball over there and clear and though Saints come forwards again, the final pass heads into touch. Lineout Bristol back in their own half. 

Ludlam comes down the right and he has Freeman on his shoulder. The wing finds Lawes and Saints are up to Bristol's 22 now. 

Bristol look to play from deep straight from the off but Saints hold firm and pen them into their own 22. Uren eventually clears and Furbank is under it. Saints play on.

Biggar gets us restarted here at cinch Stadium at Franklin's Gardens!

Bristol go to the corner and have an advantage coming as they work forwards off the lineout.

Collins is up for the restart but he's penalised for holding on. Sheedy puts it into the corner. 

The ball comes out to Dingwall from the scrum and Saints push on again.

Sheedy can't convert his own try and Saints force the knock on from the restart too. Scrum Saints just outside Bristol's 22.

Saints hold firm off the back of the scrum as Bristol try to come forwards in Saints' 22. 

Collins is under the restart and he's nearly through, just caught by his ankles. But the ball comes loose in contact and Bristol will have the scrum on Saints' 22.

HIA for Ratuniyarawa as we restart, with Moon taking his place. 

Ratuniyarawa gathers the restart and Mitchell clears long. Piutau comes back up to halfway and Lawes gets over the ball there for the penalty. Biggar sends the ball to touch for a lineout in Birstol's 22 now.

Penalty Saints at the maul lineout and with Bristol offside, they're awarded the penalty. Biggar puts it into touch for a lineout back in Bristol's half. 

Bristol work forwards into Saints half in a frantic broken field but Saints work hard to come back and push Radradra into touch as Bristol push into Saints' 22. Lineout Saints there.

Bristol come forwards off the lineout but Saints turn the ball over. They push forwards before Furbank clears, but his kick heads straight out. Lineout Bristol on halfway. 

An unbelievable effort from Freeman is chalked off by the TMO as his foot is just in touch and Bristol will have the lineout. 

Free kick Saints at the lineout and Biggar boots it downfield into touch. Bristol use the lineout quickly but knock on in the midfield. Scrum Saints there. 

Sheedy puts the resulting penalty into the corner and Bristol will have the lineout there.

Saints hold Bristol's maul and though Bristol break through the middle, we come back for a forward pass. But the TMO intervenes and awards Bristol a penalty for a high tackle in the build up. 

Bristol are awarded a penalty at the breakdown there and Sheedy sends it to touch for a lineout inside Saints' 22. 

Collins claims the restart and find Augustus up middle. The ball comes wide to Ludlam but his offload bobbles through various hands before landing in Bristol ones. They play on inside their own half.

Freeman and Ribbans truck the ball up the midfield and Saints have an advantage coming that we come back for. Biggar points to the posts. 

Saints think they're over from the maul again but a trip to the TMO chalks this effort off too. But Bristol's resulting lineout is not straight and Saints will have the scrum.

The ball comes wide to Freeman off the scrum and he races forwards, chipping to himself. But a Bristol hand just knocks the ball into touch before the winger can regather it. Lineout Saints on Bristol's five metre line then.

But there Saints defence is rewarded as Bristol knock on. Scrum Saints. 

No conversion from Sheedy out wide and Uren sends it high from the restart. The ball goes straight up in the air and Bristol regather, pushing forwards to halfway again. 

Solid at the scrum and Bristol get the ball away quickly. They whip it wide to Naulago quickly but Saints hold firm on the halfway line. 

Knock on on the floor from Saints off the lineout though and Bristol will have the first scrum. 

Ratuniyarawa charges Sheedy's kick down but the fly-half regathers and boots the ball downfield again. Furbank is back there and he finds touch with his kick. Lineout Bristol back in their own half. 

Ribbans is up for this lineout and Saints maul forwards. Matavesi gets over the line with ball in hand but it's called held up. Goal line drop out to Bristol. 

Ludlam is up for the lineout and Saints earn a penalty there as Bristol push early. Biggar puts the ball back into the corner. 

Waller gets over the ball there though and earns Saints the penalty. Biggar puts it into touch for a Saints lineout inside Bristol's 22. 

Knock on Bristol from the kick-off and Saints play on before Mitchell sends it high. Piutau is under it and Bristol play on halfway.
