Northampton Saints vs Exeter Chiefs

Chiefs gather and O'Flaherty sneaks through, they work up to Saints' 22 and though Augustus is over the ball there, he's penalised for going off his feet. Simmonds points to the posts.

Ribbans is up for the lineout and Saints maul forwards they come wide but the ball comes loose there and O'Flaherty hacks through. Francis gets back and Mitchell clears.

Penalty Saints at the scrum and Grayson sends it to touch for a lineout just outside Chiefs' 22. 

James gathers the restart and Saints work out of their 22 quickly;. Mitchell sends it high and Dingwall is in chase. Hodge gets there first but the centre takes him down. Maunder sends the ball high and Woodburn and Mitchell are under it. The ball gets held up and the scrum goes Saints' way. 

Hodge comes forwards off the restart, wending up to the halfway line before Grayson takes him down. Maunder sends it high and Furbank is under it. He boots it back to the Exeter scrum-half and Chiefs play on. But there Tonks gets over the ball and Francis points to the posts 

Scrappy at the lineout but Chiefs manage to keep it. They work into Saints' 22 now.

The scrum collapses and the penalty goes Exeter's way. Simmonds puts it into touch for a lineout in Saints' half.

Maunder clears from the restart and Skosan is under it. He finds Furbank and Saints push over the halfway line. But there the ball comes loose and it's deemed to have gone off Saints' hands. Scrum Exeter.

Good maul defence from Saints holds Exeter and though they get over the ball, they were found offside just before and Chiefs have the penalty. They take it quickly and keep pushing.

James replaces Collins as we set the resulting lineout from Chiefs' penalty. 

Tonks replaces Matavesi as we're with the TMO to see if there's a deliberate knock on from Mitchell.

Fish replaces Haywood as we restart.

No try says the TMO and we'll restart with a goal line drop out.

Chiefs think they're over but the referee thinks there's a hand under the ball and we're with the TMO to see if the ball is held up. 

Free kick Chiefs at the scrum and they take it quickly, working up to Saints' 22 quickly. They're within five metres now and pushing.

Nansen and Francis replace Ratuniyarawa and Proctor as we set the scrum. 

Dingwall comes forwards off the scrum and the ball comes wide to Coles quickly. Saints work into Chiefs' half but the offload comes forwards there. Scrum Chiefs.

Saints maul forwards from the lineout and Mitchell sends it high off the back. Chiefs whip the ball to O'Flaherty but Grayson gets to him and the Chiefs winger loses control of the ball. Scrum Saints.

Overthrow again at the lineout from Chiefs and Grayson boots it downfield. Hodge is there but he's taken down quickly. Chiefs push before Maunder sends it high. Saints play on and push up before Mitchell sends it high. Chiefs are found offside as he kicks it though and Grayson puts the penalty into touch for a lineout on halfway. 

Simmonds puts the ball into touch again for a lineout just outside Saints' 22. 

Overthrow at the lineout from Chiefs and Saints gather, they come forwards before Mitchell sends it long downfield. Simmonds returns it and Saints play on but the penalty goes Chiefs' way at the breakdown.

Saints push but a good period of defence from the away side, sees the penalty go Chiefs' way. Simmonds puts the ball into touch for a lineout on halfway. 

Saints peel right off the lineout and are quickly pushing into Chiefs' 22. 

Front row changes for Saints as Waller and Hill replace Iyogun and Painter as we set the lineout.

Mitchell dances down the left as Saints gather the restart and Saints earn the penalty at the breakdown as Chiefs come in at the side. Grayson puts the ball into touch for a lineout on halfway. 

Skosan gathers and Mitchell darts through the midfield but as Saints work into the Chiefs 22 the knock the ball on. Scrum Exeter.

Collins is there for the restart again and Grayson sends it downfield again. Good defence from Saints holds Chiefs back in their own half and Maunder sends it high. 

Collins races clear off as Chiefs send the ball Saints' way, and the home side keep pushing up into Exeter's 22 before earning a penalty at the breakdown. Grayson points to the posts. 

Collins takes the restart and Saints push forwards before Grayson clears long. Simmonds is back there to gather and Chiefs play on on the halfway line. 

Maunder sends it high and Collins is under it, he finds Furbank quickly and Saints push themselves over the halfway line as they play on.

Grayson gets us restarted here at the Gardens!

Another huge shove at the scrum and the penalty goes Saints' way this time. Grayson sends the ball into touch for a Saints lineout.

Strong defence from Saints as Chiefs come wide and they push them back before turning the ball over at the ruck. Mitchell clears and Chiefs play on. Saints strip the ball again but they knock on just after and Chiefs will have the put in at the scrum on halfway. 

Grayson sends it high off the lineout and but the ball finds Chiefs hands. They push forwards before Simmonds hacks through, the ball bobbles into the corner. Saints take the lineout quickly though and Grayson clears to touch. Lineout Chiefs.

Whitten finds touch on the restart and Saints will have the lineout. 

Chiefs maul comes down at the lineout and they begin pushing from close range. 

Chiefs push slowly into Saints' half on the restart but are penalised at the breakdown and Simmonds puts the penalty into the corner. 

Saints push up to the Chiefs' 22 before chipping over the top, but it's Exeter hands it lands in and Maunder boxes clear again. 

Overthrow at the lineout from Saints though and Chiefs gather. They come forwards to the halfway line but Saints strip the ball there and play on. 

Coles disrupts the lineout but Chiefs manage to hold onto it. Maunder sends it high again and Skosan is under this one. Saints earn a penalty at it comes wide too as Chiefs fail to roll away. Grayson puts the ball into touch for a lineout just outside Chiefs' 22. 

Chiefs box high from the restart and Furbank is there but the ball comes off him into touch. Chiefs choose the lineout option.

Chiefs push forwards but Collins strips the ball and earns a penalty just after. Grayson clears to touch for a lineout inside Chiefs' half and Saints come forwards but are penalised for rolling on the floor. Simmonds finds touch for a Chiefs lineout in Saints' half. 

Collins takes the restart and it comes back to Grayson to clear. Hodge gathers and finds O'Flaherty to push play back into Saints' half. But there they knock on and Furbank clears long downfield. Lineout Chiefs back inside their own half. 

A huge shove from Saints at the scrum but Chiefs manage to hold onto it. Maunder boxes and Chiefs manage to regather. But Proctor rips the ball in the midfield and Saints earn a penalty there too. Grayson points to the posts again.

Maunders boxes high again and the ball comes down into Chiefs hands but they send it high themselves and Saints push up into Exeter's 22 quickly. Skosan offloads to Ratuniyarawa out wide but the final pass doesn't go to Proctor's hands and we'll have a Chiefs scrum. 

Saints work up to Chiefs' 22 off the lineout but the ball comes loose at the breakdown there and Chiefs will have the scrum.

Maunder box kicks from the restart and Grayson is under it. Saints play on before the fly-half clears through to space in behind Chiefs' line. Hodge gathers the bouncing ball and comes forwards but he's pushing touch as he heads wide. Lineout Saints.

Hodge breaks through as we restart and though Saints get to him, they're penalised at the breakdown. Simmonds points to the posts with the resulting penalty.

No try and a penalty to Saints as Coles is held back illegally. Grayson points to the posts.

Furbank breaks through and Coles is with him, but as the ball comes wide O'Flaherty intercepts. He thinks he's scored but we're with the TMO to see if Coles was held back in his chase on Furbank.

There Chiefs get over the ball and earn a penalty but Simmonds can't find touch either and Saints play on.

Chiefs hack through in space and Grayson gets back to gather. Mitchell clears and the bouncing ball lands on Exeter's side. Chiefs lose control of the ball and Saints play on, pushing back into Exeter's half.

Penalty Saints at the scrum as they push Chiefs back but Grayson's kick to touch stays in and Chiefs play on.

Chiefs play quickly off the lineout and Hodge gets them back into Saints' 22 as the ball comes wide. But good defence from Saints holds them and eventually pays off in the form of a knock on from Exeter. Scrum Saints. 

Mitchell clears the kick-off and Chiefs will have the lineout just outside Saints' 22.
