Leinster vs Northampton Saints

Saints steal the ball at the breakdown and play on but Leinster strip the ball in a tackle just after and come forwards themselves.

Saints maul forwards before Sleightholme breaks away. He's close but is deemed to be held up. Scrum Leinster.

Penalty Saints at the breakdown and Grayson sends it to the corner.

Naiyaravoro charges forwards off the back of the scrum. Saints are up to the 22 now and pushing.

Ludlam takes the lineout and Saints come forwards quickly. But as the ball comes wide it comes forwards off Leinster hands and Saints will have the scrum. 

Grayson sends it high and Leinster get there first but Saints earn the penalty just after as Ratuniyarawa gets over the ball. Grayson sends this one to touch and Saints will have a lineout just outside Leinster's 22.

Tonks enters the game to make his European debut, with the back row replacing Bean. 

Kearney gets things into Saints' 22 but there Saints force an error and earn the scrum. 

Doris scoops of the base and Leinster come forwards. Larmour is up to the halfway line before he's taken down and Leinster keep coming. 

Gibson is up for this lineout and Saints maul forwards. They work up to the five metre line but are held up there. Scrum Leinster.

Penalty Saints at the breakdown and Grayson sends the ball into the corner. 

Ratuniyarawa takes the lineout and Saints come forwards. They're up to Leinster's 22 now and pushing.

Scrappy ball at the restart and it bounced into touch. Lineout Saints.

Hill is replaced by Painter as we set this lineout.

Leinster have a penalty advantage coming and we come back for it. Frawley sends it to touch for a lineout in Saints' 22.

Saints work up to the halfway line but Leinster turn over and come forwards themselves. 

Saints scoop up the loose ball this time and play on. 

Biggar is replaced by Grayson as we set the lineout.

Ludlam feeds Dingwall off the base of the scrum and Mitchell boxes clear just after. Lineout Leinster.

Leinster maul forwards but Saints hold them up and earn the scrum.

Leinster earn a penalty at the breakdown as they encroach on Saints' 22. Frawley sends it to the corner.

Waller replaces Van Wyk here at the Aviva.

Frawley collects the loose ball as Saints come forwards and Leinster are pushing inside Saints' 22 again.

Slicks hands from Saints after Gibson-Park sends the ball Saints' way. They're up to Leinster's 22 now and pushing.

Saints work close but Leinster get over the ball and earn the penalty. Frawley sends it to touch for a lineout just outside Leinster's 22.

Kearney thinks he's intercepted and made it over but the TMO says no. We come back for a Saints penalty and Biggar sends it to touch for a lineout in the corner.

Saints come charging forwards from the lineout and Dingwall and Ratuniyarawa get close. But the referee deems the latter to be held up over the line. Scrum Saints instead then. 

First touch of the ball for Matavesi and it's a penalty winning one! He gets over the ball at the breakdown and Biggar sends it to the corner. 

Changes for Saints: Dingwall replaces Symons in the centres and Van Vuuren is replaced by Matavesi - who becomes Saint #2021 in the process!

No try says the TMO and we come back to a penalty in the build up. Byrne sends the ball into touch for a lineout in Saints' 22.

Leinster think they've scored through Henshaw but we're with the TMO to check the grounding...

Saints come forwards off the lineout but Biggar's pass to Naiyaravoro hits the deck and Leinster collect the ball. They play on inside Saints' 22. 

Saints keep Leinster pinned back and Byrne hacks the ball through. Lineout Saints on their own 22. 

No conversion from Byrne out wide and Saints collect the restart. But a loose pass from Symons is collected by Leinster and they play on around halfway. 

Saints come flying forwards with Proctor breaking through before feeding Ludlam out wide inside Leinster's 22. But there ball comes loose and Leinster collect and play on.

Ludlam collects the restart, Biggar sends it high and Symons is there. Saints play on. 

Saints are back to full strength as we get things restarted here at the Aviva Stadium. 

Turnover from Ludlam and he's charging forwards! He's up to Leinster's 22 before he's taken down. The ball comes quickly right and Sleightholme is over in the corner! 

Penalty for Leinster at the restart and Byrne sends the ball to touch. Lineout Leinster just inside Saints' half. 

Saints are in Leinster's half now and though Proctor charges forwards, he's stripped in the tackle. Leinster play on. 

Tuala returns as we set the lineout and Saints come forwards quickly. Tupai sends the ball skyward and though Leinster get there first Saints turn the ball over and play on.

Penalty Saints at the scrum! Biggar sends the ball to touch and Saints will have the lineout.

This time Saints work hard and hold them up. Scrum Saints.

Byrne sends the resulting penalty to touch again and Leinster maul once more. 

Leinster look to maul and earn a penalty there. Byrne sends it to the corner. 

Ludlam gets over the ball at the breakdown but Saints are penalised for not rolling there and Byrne sends the penalty into touch for a lineout inside Saints' 22. 

Ludlam scoops the ball from the bases of the scrum and charges forwards before Tupai clears. Lowe manages to keep the ball in and Leinster play on.

Lowe makes the most of Leinster's extra man and is away down the left again but his offload comes forwards and Saints have the scrum in their own 22. 

McGrath sends the ball high once more and Biggar gets there but the ball finds his boot and bobbles into touch. Lineout Leinster on halfway. 

McGrath sends the ball high from the restart and Naiyaravoro is there. He find Tupai and Saints are up to the Leinster 22 and pushing. But the ball comes loose and Leinster dive on it. They play on.

Leinster send the penalty into touch and charge close off the back of the resulting lineout.

Leinster come forwards quickly with Lowe charging down the left. The ball fumbles into touch though and we're with the TMO to see if there's foul play involved. 

Tupai boxes the restart and though Biggar gets up, he's beaten to it by Ringrose. Leinster play on.

Wood takes the lineout and Saints maul forwards. Tupai whips the ball to Symons and Saints push on. 

Saints charges forwards, with Biggar leading the way in the midfield before a penalty advantage comes. We come back for it and Biggar sends the ball to touch for a lineout in Leinster's 22. 

Leinster collect the lineout but Ludlam gets over the ball to earn Saints the penalty. Biggar sends the ball to touch for a lineout on halfway. 

Saints push Leinster's maul backwards and force the homeside to bring the ball out. Leinster come wide but the ball comes loose into touch. The referee deems the ball to have come off a Saints hand though and Leinster have the lineout.

Sleightholme works hard at the breakdown but Leinster keep the ball and Furlong breaks through to get play into Saints' half. Leinster have an advantage coming again and we come back for it. Byrne sends it to touch for a lineout in Saints' 22. 

Leinster look to clear the restart but Gibson charges it down into touch. Leinster have the lineout on their own 22.

Saints push hard and slowly creep up to the five metre line but there they lose the ball and Byrne clears. Naiyaravoro collects but Saints are penalised for being offside. Byrne sends to touch for a lineout back at halfway.

Leinster box the restart but it heads straight into touch so Saints will have the lineout on Leinster's 22. 

Saints collect Leinster's box kick at the restart and start to push forwards. Biggar sends it high and Naiyaravoro is in chase but he's penalised for tackling his opposite man in the air. Byrne sends it to touch for a lineout on Saints' 22.

HIA for Coles so Bean enters play at the Aviva.

Leinster collect the kick-off and push their way out of their own 22 before McGrath sends it high. The home side win the race to the ball and keep coming. They're up to Saints' 22 now.
