Northampton Saints vs Saracens

Symons returns to the field as we take the lineout and Spencer boxes from the back of it. Lineout Saints back near halfway. 

Spencer boxes the restart and Grayson is there. He steps his way up to the halfway line and Saints play on. Grayson finds Dingwall with a cross field kick and Collins is with him. Collins dinks over the top but the ball finds touch. Lineout Saracens on their own five metre line. 

Eadie takes the lineout and Saints maul forwards. Tupai whips the ball out and Wray knocks the ball out of Mathews' hands in a tackle. 

Penalty Saints at the breakdown again and Grayson send it to touch once more. Lineout Saints inside Saracens' half. 

Saints come forwards from the lineout but Collins is stripped in a tackle and Saracens play on.

Brüssow rips the ball in a ruck and Mathews clear but Lozowski is there and Saracens come forwards. Saints earn a penalty at the breakdown though and Grayson sends it to touch for a lineout back at halfway. 

Saints look to come wide but a wild pass from Bird-Tulloch sees Eadie slip into touch. Lineout Saracens on Saints' 22. 

Bird-Tulloch races forwards from the scrum and Saints are pushing on again.

Penalty Saracens at the lineout. Vunipola sends it to the corner but the ball goes dead. Scrum Saints.

Saints have a lineout for the penalty but are ripped by Saracens in the play just after. Spencer clears and Collins does the same but his kick goes straight out. Lineout Saracens inside Saints' 22. 

Tupai replaces Taylor as we prepare to take the penalty. 

Taylor boxes high and Lozowski just beats Dingwall to it. But we pause the game while we head to the TMO for potential foul play from Saracens...

Mathews send the cross field over to Collins and Saints play on again.

Spencer boxes the restart and Grayson is there. Saints play on.

Painter is replaced by Garside as we set this lineout. 

Penalty Saracens and Vunipola sends it to touch for a lineout on Saints' 22. 

Ma'asi and Bean replace Van Vuuren and Moon for Saints as we restart. 

Tonks is replaced by Brüssow as we set for the lineout.

Taylor boxes clear but Ribbans is penalised for tackling in the air. Gallagher sends it to the corner. 

Bird-Tulloch crashes forwards and Tonks gets it further ahead. Mathews chips over the top but Spencer just gets there first. Spencer boxes and Grayson is back to collect it. 

Solid scrum from Saints and Wray is forced to use it. Saracens try to barge out of the 22 but can't and Spencer is forced to box. Lineout Saints. 

Free kick Saints and Taylor takes it quickly. Saints push forwards and Collins gets them into Saracens' 22. Harrison barges through the middle and the ball comes wide but Eadie can't quite control it and the ball heads into touch. Saracens choose the scrum option.

Hutchinson heads off for a HIA with Mathews entering play for his first home appearance.

While Waller replaces Van Wyk in the front row. 

Taylor sends the ball high and Saracens knock on there. Saints scrum then.

Saints come forwards but Saracens earn a penalty at the breakdown. Gallagher sends it long but Dingwall keeps it in. And Hutchinson gets up for Taylor's chip too. Saints are pushing on halfway. 

Grayson gets us restarted and Saracens take the ball deep in their own 22. Spencer clears and Saints will have the lineout just inside Saracens' half. 

Change for Saints: Bird-Tulloch replaces Olowofela as we restart. 

Taylors returns the restart and Saracens come forwards into Saints' half. 

Saints come forwards hard. Dingwall gets close before Ribbans has a go. Saints come back the other way and are within inches now.

Saints come forwards hard. Olowofela and Hutchinson team up out wide, the latter chips through for the former but Gallagher just gets there first. A trip to the TMO tells us the Saracens fullback has carried it over though and Saints have the scrum. 

Saints steal the lineout and come forwards quickly. They're into Saracens' half now and pushing. 

Penalty Saracens at the scrum. Vunipola sends the ball to touch and the away team have a lineout on halfway. 

Not straight at the lineout from Saints though and Saracens have the scrum.

The ball comes wide to Olowofela, he gets close but is pushed into touch and we come back for the advantage. Grayson sends the penalty into the corner. 

Moon takes the lineout and Saints have an advantage coming too. They push on.

Penalty Saints at the breakdown this time and Grayson sends it to touch for a lineout just inside Saracens' 22. 

Isiekwe gets up for the restart and Whiteley boxes it clear. Hutchinson is there and Saints come forwards. 

Knock on by Saints at the restart and Saracens scoop it up. They're pushing in the 22 and earn a penalty at the breakdown. Whiteley points to the posts. 

Vunipola gets us restarted here at the Gardens!

Saracens push on and have an advantage coming for a high tackle too. Eventually we come back for it and Whiteley points to the sticks. 

Hutchinson boots the ball into the stands but there's just enough time for the lineout says referee Craig Maxwell-Keys. 

Saracens work their way up to Saints' 22 but knock on and Saints play on with the last play. 

Saints steal the lineout and Taylor boxes high again. Segun is there and Saracens play on.

Saints collect the restart and Taylor boxes high. Gallagher is there but he's taken down quickly. Saints concede at the breakdown though and Gallagher sends the ball into touch.

Moon is up for the lineout and Saints come forwards.

Saracens get up for the restart and Whiteley clears but it goes straight out. Lineout Saints on Saracens' 22. 

Saracens collect the restart and come forwards. Whiteley boxes and Skelton gets up to collect. They away side come forwards again.

No conversion from Whiteley and Grayson gets us back underway as we enter the final ten minutes of the first half. 

Hutchinson sends the ball skywards and Gallagher returns. The former collects it again and comes forwards. Taylor sends the ball up and Saracens play on. 

Saracens maul forwards but it comes down. Whiteley clears and Harrison is there. Saints play on.

Scrum Saracens then and they use it quickly. Penalty Saracens as Ribbans is caught accidentally offside. Gallagher sends the ball to touch for a lineout.

Isiekwe replaces Reffell who takes a large knock in the build up. 

Moons takes the lineout and Harrison comes charging forwards off it. But his offload comes forwards out his hands and Saracens will have the scrum. 

Saints box the restart and Saracens collect but Saracens knock on and Saints collect. Van Vuuren storms forwards to get Saints up to Saracens' 22 before Saints earn a penalty. Grayson sends it into the corner.

Saints maul forwards again before Taylor feeds Symons. Saints are up to the five metre line again and pushing. 

Saints collect and push forwards before earning a penalty in the maul. Grayson sends it to the corner. 

Taylor and Hutchinson work forwards and though the latter is pushed into touch, the ball was stripped and Saints have the lineout. 

Taylor box kicks and it's touched by a Saracens hand as it heads off the field. Lineout Saints just outside Saracens' 22. 

Whiteley boxes the restart once again its knocked back to Saracens hands. They chip over the top though and Collins is there. Saints play on around halfway. 

Saints are penalised for being offside and Whiteley points to the posts with the penalty. 

Symons is over the line but we're with the TMO to see if the ball is down...

Saints push and after Taylor breaks through, Collins steams forwards. Olowofela gets things into the 22 with a beautiful step and Saints are within inches now. 

Lewinton leave the field for a HIA and is replaced by Obatoyinbo.

Saints collect but a stray pass is collected by Saracens and the away side play on around halfway. 

Solid scrum from Saints and Taylor gets the ball out. Collins barges through the middle before Hutchinson dinks it through for Olowofela to collect. Segun gets there first but dots it down over the line. 22 drop out Saracens. 

Whiteley boxes the restart and though Saracens collect, Segun knocks on out wide. Scrum Saints.

No conversion from Whiteley out wide and Grayson gets things going again. 

But Saracens earn a penalty at the breakdown and Vunipola sends it to touch for a lineout on Saints' 22. 

Taylor boxes this time Gallagher is there to collect. Whiteley returns the ball in the air and though Collins gets there Saracens come forwards before kicking it back to Northampton hands. Olowofela gets the home side back on the front foot and Saints are pushing around the halfway.

Symons gets Saints on the front foot before Taylor send the box kick up. Spencer collects but Collins is there for the tackle to hold Saracens on the halfway line. Whiteley sends the box up and Tonks is there to collect. Saints play on.

Saracens looked sure to score again but Taylor put in a brilliant hit which saw Lozowski knock on over the line. Scrum Saints on their five metre line.

Saints are penalised at the lineout though and Saracens have the scrum. 

Saints come forwards but an intercept in the midfield gets Saracens their first attack. They race forwards and Lozowski is nearly through but a great cover tackle from Dingwall sends his opposite man into touch and Saints have the lineout. 

Saracens collect the kick-off and Whiteley boxes. Harrison is there and he barges Saints over the halfway line.
