Bedford Blues vs Northampton Saints

Saints push forwards but a stray pass ends up in Blues hands and they play on.

Saints have a lineout on the restart as Bedford fumble the high ball. But the home side turn it over and clear downfield.

Blues turn the ball over though and push into Saints' hallway before they earn a penalty. Maisey puts it into the corner for a lineout there.

Saints push into Blues' half quickly, but are penalised for rolling on the floor. Blues try to find touch but Baker keeps the ball in and Saints push on. They earn a penalty on halfway too and Arden finds touch of a lineout.

Saints steal the lineout though and earn themselves a penalty at the breakdown too as Bedford fail to roll away. Arden puts it into touch for a lineout back near halfway. 

Penalty Blues at the lineout though and Grimoldby finds touch again for a lineout in Saints' 22. 

Blues race forwards to Saints' 22 but knock the ball on there. Fricker gathers and Saints play on, sends the ball wide the other way and Daniel finds touch. Lineout Blues. 

Saints set off from the restart, with the ball going through Grayson and Fricker. But the final pass to Wright doesn't quite go to hand and Blues have the scrum on halfway. 

Blues push forwards but knock the ball on in contact and Saints have this scrum. 

Saints fail to roll away off the back of the scrum and Grimoldby puts the resulting penalty into the corner for a Blues lineout there.

Saints charge forwards but there's a forward pass as the come wide and Blues have the scrum. 

Scrappy on the restart but it's Saints who come away with the penalty at the breakdown and Arden sends the ball into touch for a lineout back inside Blues' half.

Penalty Blues at the scrum and they choose to pack down again.

Saints maul forwards from the lineout but Bedford turn the ball over and charge forwards. Blues think they're over the tryline but the referee deems them to have been held up and Saints will have the scrum. 

Bedford whip the ball wide right but the final pass doesn't quite go to hand and Saints will have the lineout.

Saints charge down Blues' clearing kick and push forwards, working into Bedford's 22 through Daniel. But the ball goes forwards as it heads back inside and Blues will have the scrum. 

But Bedford work hard and get over the ball to earn a penalty. Maisey puts it in the corner for a Blues lineout there this time.

Back and forth between the two sides ends as Maisey finds touch in Saints' 22. Lineout Saints there.

The sides exchange kicks before Worley runs it at Saints. Blues get up to the 22 and try a chip over the top. Saint charge it down but it heads into touch and Blues have the lineout there. 

Blues push up to halfway from the restart but Saints work hard to turn the ball over there and McParland clears. 

Arden gets us restarted here for the second half at Goldinton Road!

Arden sends the ball downfield on the restart and Glister charges Blues' clearing kick. The Saints wing gathers and plays on but Northampton knock the ball on a phase later. Scrum Blues in their own 22. 

Blues push up to halfway before sending the ball into space in behind Saints' line. The ball heads into touch for a 50:22 and Blues have the lineout there.

Saints whip the ball wide right but there's a knock on there and Bedford will have this scrum. 

Saints push into Blues' 22 now but the home side knock on the ball there. Scrum Saints.

Scott-Young is up for the lineout and Saints maul forward before Cruse breaks free. He charges up to the 22 before he's taken down and Saints play on.

Blues come forwards but are penalised for crossing and Grayson sends the ball into touch for a Saints lineout on halfway. 

Lennon sends the box kick up when Saints' defence holds and McParland marks the kick in Saints' 22. The scrum-half clears to touch and Bedford have the lineout back near their own 22. 

Big shove from Blues at the scrum and they earn the penalty. Bedford take it quickly and play on.

Pollock is up again for the lineout and Saints get the ball out to Seabrook quickly. Bedford pressure though and Saints knock the ball on in contact. Scrum Blues. 

Penalty Saints on the restart as Bedford fail to roll away and Grayson puts the ball into touch for a lineout in Blues' half. 

Saints push forwards again off the lineout and make it up into Blues' 22 quickly. 

A chip over the top lands in Blues' hands and they push back up to halfway. Pollock is over the ball there for Saints though and Grayson puts the resulting penalty into touch for a lineout.

Pollock rises highest at the lineout and Saints push into Blues' 22 now.

Bedford push up to the halfway line on the restart but Saints' defence turns the balk over there. Grayson sends it downfield with Glister and Hendy in chase. Blues just get there first and clear to touch. Lineout Saints back near halfway.

Saints maul forwards from the lineout and build the phases as they work towards Blues' tryline.

Penalty Saints at the scrum and Grayson puts it into the corner. 

Saints' defence works hard and they earn the turn over. Grayson spots some space in behind and boots the ball to it but the bounce of the ball bobbles it over the dead ball line. We come back for a Blues scrum on the halfway line.

Saints steal the lineout again and McParland sends the box kick up. Bedford gather on halfway and return it but Hendy can't quite gather. Blues play on on halfway again. 

Grayson and Adamson exchange kicks before Hendy takes the ball forwards. Bedford get over the ball again though and Maisey puts it into the corner for a lineout there.

Blues send the ball wide to Worley off the scrum but Saints' defence slows them there and Bedford send it high. Seabrook is under it and Saints play on on the halfway line. 

Atuanya takes the ball at line and Saints push forwards but knock on the ball as they enter the 22 again. Scrum Bedford there. 

Saints charge forwards as Bedford return the restart and Pollock charges into Blues' 22. But there Bedford get over the ball to earn the penalty and clear to touch for a lineout.

Scrappy handling from both sides as the high ball comes down on the restart but it's Bedford who come away with it and they push in Saints' 22 now.

Saints send the kick-off skyward and Bedford run it back at them. E Grayson carries into contact before the ball comes wide to Adamson. The winger chips and chases himself but Hendy grounds the ball over Saints' tryline. Goal line drop out for Saints to restart.
