Bristol Bears vs Northampton Saints

Scrappy at the lineout but Saints manage to keep it. Smith sends the ball high but Bristol get there first and return it. Saints come forwards through Smith and McParland but there's a knock on there and Bristol have the scrum. 

Advantage coming for Saints as Bristol are found offside and Smith sends the ball into touch for a lineout back near halfway. 

Penalty Bristol as Saints hit high on the restart and they take it quickly. They get up to Saints' 22 but knock the ball on there and Saints have the scrum. 

Litchfield replaces Odendaal as we restart. 

After several resets eventually the penalty goes Bristol's way at the scrum and MacGinty puts the ball into the corner for a lineout there. 

Smith sends the ball downfield and Bristol is there. Saints are penalised for going off their feet at the ruck there and Malins takes the penalty quickly. But as Bristol get into Saints' 22 there's a forward pass and Saints will have the scrum. 

Davison is replaced by Prowse as we restart. 

Augustus gets play into the 22 and Saints keep coming. 

Free kick Saints at the scrum as Bristol push early and McParland takes it quickly. Saints are up to the 22 quickly.

Good pressure from Saints on the restart and Bristol knock the ball on. Scrum Saints. 

Waller and Lockett replace Iyogun and Mayanavanua as we set the lineout. Ludlam also returns from the sin bin. 

Penalty coming for Bristol at the scrum and eventually we come back for it. MacGinty puts the ball into touch for a lineout on Saints' 22. 

HIA for Hendy and Garside takes his place. 

Augustus pushes up off the lineout and Hendy is almost through just after. But Saints knock the ball on as it come into the midfield and Bristol will have the scrum. 

Saints turn the ball over on the restart and push forwards before Smith chips over the top. Bristol get to it first but Saints' defend well and Randall sends the high ball up and into touch. Lineout Saints back near halfway.

Augustus replaces Graham as we restart. 

Bristol send the ball Saints' way on the restart and Hendy is back to gather it. He comes forwards, finding Coles on his shoulder who finds McParland himself and Saints play on on Bristol's 22 now. 

Langdon and Dingwall enter play as we restart, replacing Matavesi and Hutchinson. 

Saints hold Bristol's maul but there's a penalty against Saints there when it collapses. Bristol tap the penalty quickly and get close through another maul quickly. 

Advantage coming for Bristol at the scrum and though Saints defend well, we eventually come back for it. Bristol take it quickly and though Lawes gets over the ball, Saints are penalised for not rolling away. MacGinty puts the ball into the corner. 

Free kick Bristol at the scrum though and they choose to scrum again. 

Lawes is up for the lineout and Saints clear and Bristol are there. They come forwards up to Saints' 22 but knock the ball on there and Saints have the scrum. 

Free kick Saints at the scrum as Bristol go early. Smith boots it downfield and Bristol hack it back behind Saints' line. Ramm gets back to collect it and Bristol are found offside there. Smith sends the resulting penalty into touch for a lineout back near halfway. 

Lawes barges forwards on the restart abhor Mayanavanua has a go. McParland sends the high ball up and Bristol knock the ball on. Iyoguns is there to gather and Saints play on. Eventually we come back for the scrum though and Saints have the put in. 

MacGinty gets us restarted here at Ashton Gate. 

Time's up as we set the scrum but Bristol earn a penalty there. MacGinty points to the posts with the final play of the half. 

Randall charges threw off the lineout but he's held up as he goes over Saints' 22 and Saints will have the scrum. 

Big shove from Saints at the scrum but the penalty goes Bristol's way. MacGinty sends the ball into touch for a lineout on halfway. 

Odendaal takes the restart and McParland sends the box kick up. The sides exchange kicks before Hendy takes the space and puts Odendaal into space. The centre comes forwards but his offload to Sleightholme comes forwards off the winger. Scrum Bristol. 

Smith puts the resulting penalty into the corner. 

MacGinty send the high Gallup and Hendy is under it. He finds Ramm and Saints play on on the halfway line. Smith sends the ball high himself and Bristol regather. Randall chips over the top but Smith is there and he boots the ball downfield. Ibitoye is back for Bristol but Smith is up in defence and Randall is forced to clear to touch. Lineout Saints. 

Iyogun gets close but a dominant hit from Bristol in the next phase sees Saints pushed back and Bears get over the ball for a penalty. MacGinty puts the ball into touch for a lineout. 

Penalty coming for Saints off the scrum as Bristol are found offside. Saints choose to take it quickly and are up to the five metre line quickly. 

Lawes is up for the lineout and Saints maul forwards. A pod breaks free and Bristol are found offside there. Scrum Saints. 

Penalty Saints at the breakdown off the lineout as Bristol are found on the wrong side of the ruck. Smith puts the ball into the corner for a lineout there. 

Randall sends the box kick up and finds touch. Lineout Saints back near halfway. 

Solid at the scrum and McParland feeds Smith who send the mis-pass over to Ramm out wide. But the winger is his hard and the ball bounces out of his hands and into touch. Lineout Bristol there.

A big defensive effort from Coles and Iyogun on the restart sees Bristol knock the ball on and Saints have the scrum in Bears' 22. 

Saints think they're over the ball after Bristol push back into their 22 but they're penalised for not rolling away. MacGinty points to the posts. 

Bristol push back into the 22 off the restart but Saints' defence pushes them back outside it quickly. Bristol hack the ball through for Van Rensburg to chase but McParland gets to it first. Saints build a couple of phases before McParland sends it high. Bristol gather and play on again.

Bristol get close but Saints hold them up over the tryline and have the goal line drop out to restart. 

Penalty advantage coming for Bristol as the maul collapses and eventually we come back for it. MacGinty puts it back into the corner.

The ball pops out of the back of Saints' scrum and Bristol hack it through. The ball bobbles into touch but there's a tackle off the ball and Bristol get the penalty. MacGinty puts the ball into the corner for a lineout there. 

Saints shove hard at the scrum but Bristol get the ball away. Saints' defence holds them out of the 22 and eventually the reward comes in Bristol knock on. Scrum Saints. 

Saints come forwards but there's a knock on on the floor and Bristol will have the scrum. 

Randall clears from the restart and Saints have the lineout just inside Bristol's half. 

The ball comes loose in the midfield and Bristol dive on it again. Ibitoye boots it down the field to chase himself but Smith gets there first. 

Scrappt at the lineout from Saints though and Bristol dive on the loose ball. They build a phase or two before Randall sends the box kick up. Lineout Saints back near halfway. 

Big shove from Saints at the scrum and they earn the penalty there too. Smith puts the ball into the corner for a lineout. 

Knock on from Bristol at the lineout and Saints will have the scrum again.

McParland goes himself down the short side but he's pushed into touch. Lineout Bristol there. 

Bristol knock on the high ball in the deluge here in Bristol. Saints have the scrum to restart.
