Northampton Saints vs Barbarians

Williams puts a crossfield kick over but it heads straight out. Lineout Saints with the final play.

Barbarians claim the restart and but Wilkins intercepts a stray Barbarians pass. They play on for a time but Barbarians strip the ball in a tackle and work back up to halfway. 

Saints push into Barbarians' half but scrappy handling sees Harris dive on loose ball. 

Advantage coming for Saints at the scrum as they push into Barbarians' 22.

Knock on from Barbarians in the midfield though and Saints have the scrum. 

Simpson puts the ball into the air off the restart and Hendy is under it. Saints push forwards through Scott-Young and then Matavesi but the final pass heads into touch instead of Skosan's hands. Lineout Barbarians on halfway.

Advantage coming for Barbarians and we come back for it. Simpson puts the ball into the corner for a lineout there.

Free kick Barbarians at the scrum and they take it quickly. 

HIA for Prowse and Hill re-enters the game.

Saints knock on off the lineout themselves though and Barbarians will have this scrum. 

Penalty coming for Saints at the scrum and we come back for it eventually. Furbank puts it into touch for a lineout on halfway. 

Forward pass from Barbarians off the back of the lineout and Saints will have the scrum. 

Penalty Barbarians at the restart again as they get over the ball and Williams sends the ball to touch for a lineout. 

Penalty Barbarians on the restart as they get over the ball at the ruck and Williams puts it into the corner for a lineout there.

More change for Saints as we restart; Matavesi, Litchfield and Hendy enter play, Hutchinson, Proctor and Ramm making way. 

Scott-Young returns to the field, with Augustus making way.

Barbarians make it up to the five metre line but knock the ball on in contact there. Saints jump on the loose ball and Mitchell boxes clear. Kibirige keeps it in though and Barbarians play on.

Simpson darts forwards off the scrum, with Burrell and then Wood on his shoulder to get play up to Saints' 22. 

Saints knock on as they come forwards from the restart though and Barbarians have the scrum. 

Simpson boxes high and Saints play on just inside their own half.

Cipriani sends the penalty into touch for a lineout on halfway. 

Mitchell boots the ball down field for Skosan to chase but Barbarians get there first. Simpson boxes high and Skosan is there. He finds Ramm and the fullback carves through Barbarians' line but they get over the ball as he's taken down to earn the penalty.

Saints counteruck on the restart and play on on the hallway line now.

We restart with a Barbarians scrum. 

HIA for Lockett and Robinson from the collision, with Saints bringing on Nansen in the lock's place.

There's a clash of heads in a ruck and we pause the game while a player for each side is seen to.

Mitchell sends the ball high and Barbarians come forwards but Hougaard's grubber finds touch. Saints take the lineout quickly though. Mitchell chips over the top and Barbarians play on.

Scrappy at the lineout but Saints keep it and play on in the midfield. Proctor pushes into the 22 and finds Collins. Saints are up to the five metre line now and still pushing.

Cipriani's looping pass to Kibirige finds Collins' hands and Saints earn a penalty there too as Barbarians don't release in the tackle. Furbank puts it into touch for a lineout on Barbarians' 22. 

Furbank replaces F Smith as we set the lineout.

Simpson chips threw off the scrum but the ball bobbles into touch. Lineout Saints on their own 22. 

Saints knock the ball on as it comes wide right and Barbarians gather. Burrell boots is clear and Ramm gets back for it. The fullback slips through Barbarians' line but Saints knock the ball on just after. Scrum Barbarians.

Barbarians find touch with the restart and Saints have the lineout on halfway. 

Changes for Saints at the break, R Smith, Iyogun, Prowse, Wilkins, and Graham entering play. Haywood, Waller, Hill, Scott-Young and Ludlam make way.

Time to get going again at the Gardens, F Smith gets us restart here! 

Penalty coming for Barbarians as Saints put a high tackle in. We come back for it and Cipriani puts it into the corner. 

Just enough time for a restart here and Barbarians gather it. They come wide but Saints jump on the loose ball there and play on. Skosan slips through but Barbarians get over the ball at the next breakdown and earn the penalty. Cipriani puts it into touch for a lineout.

Saints maul forwards before Mitchell chips over the top. Barbarians regather and play on.

Penalty Saints at the scrum and Smith puts it into touch for a lineout.

HIA for Braley as we set the scrum and Mitchell returns. 

Barbarians scoop up loose lineout ball and chip over the top to Burrell. But though Collins gets there first, he carries the ball over the try line. Five metre scrum Barbarians.

Barbarians try to ship the ball out to Yarde but it heads into touch instead of the wingers hands. Lineout Saints.

Moon replaces Salakaia-Loto as we restart.

Good shove at the scrum from Saints but Barbarians manage to keep the ball. It comes wide to Kibirige who boots it forwards but the ball heads over the dead ball line. 22 drop out Saints.

Barbarians hold Saints' maul up off the lineout though and earn the put in at the scrum. 

Smith's clearing kick on the restart is charged down by Boyde and the back row gathers the loose ball too. But Saints get over the ball there and earn the penalty. Smith puts it into touch for a lineout.

Augustus and then Scott-Young push up and there's an advantage coming for Saints too as Barbarians fail to roll away. We come back for it and Saints take it quickly. 

Saints charge into Barbarians half and Collins chips over the top again. He chases once more but Morris is there to gather. He carries the ball over the try line though as Collins tackles him and Saints have the five metre scrum. 

Lockett is up for the lineout and Saints maul forwards. The ball comes out to Smith who sends the ball to Collins. The winger chips and chases himself but Yarde gets there first. The Barbarians winger is pushed into touch though and Saints have the lineout.

Braley returns from the blood bin as we set the lineout, with Mitchell making way.

Penalty Saints at the scrum as it collapses before the ball is in and Smith puts it into touch for a lineout. 

Barbarians push into Saints' 22 but knock the ball on out wide. Scrum Saints.

Smith's conversion hits the right upright and Barbarians manage to gather the restart.

Not straight from Saints at the lineout though and Barbarians choose the scrum. 

Saints push forwards into Barbarians' half before Mitchell chips over the top for Collins to chase. But Barbarians manage to gather the ball and clear. Lineout Saint on halfway.

Barbarians push back into Saints' 22 but Hill gets over the ball there and Saints have the penalty. Smith puts it into touch for a lineout. 

Saints clear off the scrum and Barbarians will have the lineout back near halfway.

Mitchell replaces Braley for a blood injury as we set the scrum. 

Barbarians knock the ball on into touch trying to come down the short side though and Saints will have the scrum. 

Saints are pinged for a high tackle as the ball comes down though and Cipriani puts the ball into the corner.

Burrell goes through the middle off the lineout and they push into Saints' 22. Saints are pinged there too and Barbarians try to chip the ball over the try line to Wood. But it doesn't come off and Saints have the goal line drop out. 

Barbarians hold Saints' maul up though and they have the scrum. 

Over the top at the lineout to Wood and Barbarians come into the midfield quickly. Cipriani puts a crossfield over to Yarde but it heads straight out. Lineout Saints.

Ludlam gets over the ball on the restart but Saints had failed to roll away and the penalty goes Barbarians' way. Cipriani puts it into touch for a lineout just outside Saints' 22.

Saints peel forwards at pace and make it into Barbarians 22 but there's a forward pass and Barbarians will have the scrum. 

Burrell taps the restart back to Barbarians hands on the restart, but Simpson boxes high and finds touch. Lineout Saints just inside their own half. 

Advantage coming for Saints at the maul and we come back for it when the Barbarians halt Saints' progress in the midfield. Smith puts it into the corner. 

Short from Barbarians at the kick-off and they manage to regather it. Big hits coming in from Saints and Simpson chips over the top, Ramm is there and he boots it downfield. Barbarians just manage to keep it in before Simpson boxes hit and finds touch. Lineout Saints on Barbarians' 22.
