Despite an unlucky string of injuries during 2019/20, back row Kayde Sylvester impressed Northampton Saints’ coaches enough to earn a Senior Academy contact ahead of the 2020/21 season. 

Arriving at Franklin’s Gardens from Bedford School and Cambridge RFC, Sylvester proved more mature than his years as he first tasted Premiership Rugby Academy League action at just 16 years old. 

An exceptional start to the 2019/20 Under-18s season saw Sylvester’s aerial skills and athleticism catch the coaches’ eyes and earn Sylvester a full-time position at Saints for the 2020/21 season. 

And the back row would make his first Saints appearance in 2021/22, debuting against London Irish in the Premiership Rugby Cup that term.
