Following in the footsteps of Saints' director of rugby Chris Boyd with a move from Wellington to Northampton, centre Matt Proctor first arrived at Franklin's Gardens ahead of the 2019/20 season.
The Wellington-born back made the switch to the Northern Hemisphere from Super Rugby side Hurricanes, where he made his debut in 2013 and was part of the side that secured the title three years later.
Proctor made a half-century of appearances for the franchise and was named captain for the Wellington Lions' Mitre 10 Cup campaign in 2018, before making his All Blacks Test debut against Japan in November of the same year.
The centre made an instant impact in Black, Green and Gold, making his Saints debut against Lyon in the Heineken Champions Cup in November 2019 before scoring a brace of tries in his Gallagher Premiership debut against Leicester Tigers two weeks later.
And after making 17 appearance in his debut season in Northampton, Proctor would make a further 15 in the 2020/21 term.
Procto's representative career also includes the Maori All Blacks, New Zealand Under-20s and New Zealand Schools.
